If you are trying to use Eat App to become an online reservation only restaurant, one thing you might want to be able to do is block the ability for reservations to be created in the app. This can be used to further reinforce any strict policies you put into place at your restaurant.

One tool Eat App can provide restaurant operators looking to achieve this is through "Operating Hours" dropdown. From here, you're able to prevent reservations from being created from all channels or just in house specifically.

Once in the "Operating hours" pop up, you can now block hours for the current day you are viewing.

Start Block Time: The time you want to start the block

End Block Time: The time you want to end the block

Online vs. In House: You can also choose to block only online or only in house or all reservations.

Who can create reservations when hours are blocked?

When hours are blocked, a warning will display when a restaurant user tries to create a reservation but it will still allow them to do so.

Once this is enabled only restaurant managers will be able to create reservations during blocked time slots, all other employees will not be able to.

This permission will also block reservations from being created when a shift is overbooked.
